EDGELANDS
With urbanization quickly spreading out into nature, the transitional areas on its boundaries – the Edgelands - are of increasing importance in the twenty-first century. These are the zones where both city and rural fringe end. These are also the spaces that exist on the margins of our collective consciousness. Drone-like views form abstract images. I use the Edgelands as a metaphor for human society, where people are scratching the sides of the busy and fast moving playground, not being invited, not knowing how to step in, almost invisible.
